How Heat-as-a-Service works

JustHeat® delivered as a service: the provider owns and operates the heating system and you pay a fixed monthly fee. No upfront capital, and a route to better EPC outcomes in retrofit properties.

JustHeat® graphene radiant heating

The property is heated by JustHeat® graphene radiant panels: fast, even, low-profile electric heating with smart controls and monitoring.

A graphene-enhanced heating layer delivers gentle radiant warmth from a slim, low-voltage panel. There is no wet system, no boiler and no moving parts, so it fits existing properties with minimal disruption and needs no annual servicing.

The model

Owned and operated as a service

You don't buy the heating system. The provider owns the JustHeat® system and operates it under a Heat-as-a-Service agreement, and you pay a fixed monthly fee with no upfront capital cost.

This ownership-and-operation arrangement is the basis for the system's EPC treatment. Monitoring and optimisation are part of the managed service.

Occupiers

Simple for occupiers

Occupiers use simple local controls for everyday comfort. They keep their existing electricity supplier and continue paying their own electricity bill.

There is no change to the tenancy arrangement for energy supply. The landlord contracts for the Heat-as-a-Service, which continues uninterrupted through tenant changes.
